Track Network Map
Site-specific light installation, 2019
The German railway network began in 1835 with the 6 km long, first German railway from Nuremberg to Fürth. At Fürth's main station, an LED track network map is installed that shows the historical development of the railway. From Ludwigsbahnhof with only one turnout to today's main station Fürth, the various expansion stages of Fürth's railway station are exemplary for the development of the railway. The light installation thus draws attention to the historical significance of the city of Fürth in the development of the railway.
